PRIVACY POLICY
The data controller, NEUF, complies with the Belgian Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons in relation to the processing of personal data.
NEUF processes the personal data of everyone who has (had) direct or indirect contact with the webshop, such as Customers.
NEUF receives the data directly from the Customer when they visit the webshop, create an account and fill in certain details, or when the Customer contacts our customer service by email.
If the Customer places an order, we need certain data in order to deliver that order and to keep the Customer informed about their order. We also need this data for any returns or repairs. For this purpose, NEUF collects the Customer's name, email address, delivery address(es), payment details and telephone number.
This data is necessary to perform the agreement that the Customer has entered into with NEUF.
In some cases, NEUF receives your data from others. When someone sends a gift directly to you, we receive your name and address details.
The personal data provided by the Customer will only be used for the following purposes: performance of the concluded agreement, processing the order, and sending newsletters if opted in.
You have a statutory right to access and, where applicable, correct your personal data. On proof of identity (a copy of your identity card), you may obtain a written statement of your personal data, free of charge, by submitting a written, dated and signed request to NEUF, Dok Noord 7A501, 9000 Ghent, or by emailing valerie@neufgiftstore.be. If necessary, you may also request the correction of any inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant data.
We treat your data as confidential information and will not disclose, rent or sell it to third parties.
The Customer is responsible for keeping their login details confidential and for the use of their password. Your password is stored in encrypted form, so NEUF does not have access to it.
NEUF keeps online (anonymous) visitor statistics in order to monitor which pages of the website are visited, and to what extent.
If the Customer uses social media such as Facebook, they can use "like and share" to share articles they find enjoyable, useful or handy with friends on various social media accounts. NEUF does not gain access to the Customer's social media accounts.

Use of Cookies
During a visit to the site, "cookies" may be placed on the hard drive of the Customer's computer. A cookie is a text file placed by the server of a web shop in the browser of the Customer's computer or on their mobile device when a web shop is accessed. Cookies cannot be used to identify individuals; a cookie can only identify a machine.
The Customer can configure their internet browser so that cookies are not accepted, so that a warning is received when a cookie is installed, or so that cookies are subsequently removed from the hard drive. Such actions can be done via the browser settings (using the help function). Please note that certain graphic elements may display incorrectly, or certain applications may be unusable as a result.

De verantwoordelijke voor de verwerking, NEUF, respecteert de Belgische wet van 30 juli 2018 met betrekking tot de bescherming van natuurlijke personen met betrekking tot de verwerking van persoonsgegevens.
NEUF verwerkt de persoonsgegevens van iedereen die direct of indirect contact heeft (gehad) met de webwinkel, zoals Klanten.
NEUF krijgt de gegevens rechtstreeks van de klant, wanneer deze de webwinkel bezoekt, een account aanmaakt en bepaalde gegevens invult, of wanneer de Klant contact zoekt met onze klantenservice via e-mail.
Als de Klant iets bestelt, hebben we bepaalde gegevens nodig om deze bestelling te kunnen bezorgen en de Klant op de hoogte te kunnen houden van zijn bestelling. Ook voor eventuele retouren of reparaties zijn deze gegevens nodig. Hiervoor verzamelt NEUF de naam, het e-mailadres, het bezorgadres/de bezorgadressen, de betaalgegevens en telefoonnummer van de klant.
De gegevens zijn nodig om de overeenkomst uit te voeren die de Klant met NEUF heeft gesloten.
In sommige gevallen ontvangt NEUF jouw gegevens van anderen. Wanneer iemand een cadeau direct naar jou verstuurt, krijgen we jouw naam- en adresgegevens.
De door de Klant meegedeelde persoonsgegevens zullen enkel gebruikt worden voor volgende doeleinden: de uitvoering van de afgesloten overeenkomst, het verwerken van de bestelling, versturen van nieuwsbrieven indien aangeduid.
U beschikt over een wettelijk recht op inzage en eventuele correctie van uw persoonsgegevens. Mits bewijs van identiteit (kopie identiteitskaart) kunt u via een schriftelijke, gedateerde en ondertekende aanvraag aan NEUF, Dok Noord 7A501, 9000 Gent, of via het e-mailadres valerie@neufgiftstore.be gratis de schriftelijke mededeling bekomen van uw persoonsgegevens. Indien nodig kunt u ook vragen onjuiste, onvolledige of niet-pertinente gegevens te corrigeren.
Wij behandelen uw gegevens als vertrouwelijke informatie en zullen die niet doorgeven, verhuren of verkopen aan derden.
De Klant is zelf verantwoordelijk voor het vertrouwelijk houden van zijn logingegevens en het gebruik van zijn paswoord. Uw paswoord wordt gecodeerd opgeslagen; NEUF heeft dus geen toegang tot uw paswoord.
NEUF houdt online (anonieme) bezoekersstatistieken bij om te kunnen bekijken welke pagina’s van de internetsite in welke mate bezocht worden.
Als de Klant social media zoals Facebook gebruikt, kan deze via “like en share” de artikelen die De Klant leuk, nuttig of handig vindt, delen met vrienden op verschillende social media accounts. NEUF krijgt geen toegang tot de Klant zijn social media accounts.

Gebruik van cookies
Tijdens een bezoek aan de site kunnen 'cookies' op de harde schijf van de computer van de Klant geplaatst worden. Een cookie is een tekstbestand dat door de server van een webwinkel in de browser van de computer of op het mobiele apparaat van de Klant geplaatst wordt wanneer een webwinkel geraadpleegd wordt. Cookies kunnen niet worden gebruikt om personen te identificeren, een cookie kan slechts een machine identificeren.
De Klant kan zijn internetbrowser zodanig instellen dat cookies niet worden geaccepteerd, dat een waarschuwing ontvangen wordt wanneer een cookie geïnstalleerd wordt of dat de cookies nadien van de harde schijf worden verwijderd. Dit kan men doen via de instellingen van de browser (via de helpfunctie). Houd er hierbij wel rekening mee dat bepaalde grafische elementen niet correct kunnen verschijnen, of dat bepaalde applicaties niet gebruikt zullen kunnen worden.
